Why Was My ID Rejected?

Written by Princess

Overview

If your ID was not accepted during verification, it may be due to an issue with the document, photo quality, or the information submitted.

Common reasons

1. Blurry or Dark Photo

Your ID photo may be rejected if it is unclear, too dark, or difficult to read.

Please retake the photo in a well-lit area. Make sure all four corners of the document are visible and that no information is cut off, covered, or out of focus.

2. Expired ID

Expired IDs cannot be accepted for verification. Please submit a current, unexpired government-issued ID. Temporary paper IDs may not be accepted, so please use an official physical ID whenever possible.

3. Wrong Type of Document

Your document may be rejected if it is not an accepted form of identification. Please use an official government-issued ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, state-issued ID card, or residence permit.

4. Details Do Not Match

Your ID may be rejected if the information on your document does not match the details on your account. Please double-check that your name, address, date of birth, and other account details are accurate and match the information shown on your ID.

5. Cropped or Edited Photo

Photos that are cropped too closely, edited, filtered, or altered may be flagged during review. Please upload a clear, full, and unedited photo of your ID. The entire document should be visible in the image.

6. Incorrect Upload

Your verification may fail if the wrong file is uploaded, such as a selfie instead of an ID, or the wrong side of the document. Please follow the upload instructions carefully and make sure you are submitting the correct document or image requested.
